Network Engineer

Technical position with detailed knowledge of networking, particular to the construction industry. Provides networking support during design and implementation phases of customer projects, including network pre-sales quotes, estimation and design. Also provide post-sales support. In depth understanding of LAN/WAN systems and related issues, with special focus in at least one of the following areas CCTV, IT, AV or ELV.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of Senior Network Engineer or Technical Manager, supports Project pre-sales Engineering design and implementation;
  • Designs, installs, configures and tests active components of IP networks as directed;
  • Understands and follows industry standards related to networking;
  • Configures, analyzes and troubleshoots active IP networks according to specifications, including switches/routers, firewall, DMS, wireless or advanced IP Voice systems of various manufacturers;
  • Addresses product related issues with manufacturer TAC/support staff;
  • Recommend upgrades or system improvements on maintained system as required;
  • Makes inquiries to multiple industry vendors and equipment providers;
  • Maintains certifications and knowledge of technology developments in his area of expertise;
  • Supports Implementation Team as Project Engineer as directed, providing basic engineering support and detailed knowledge in his area of expertise;
  • Assists in the development of written procedures related to the position;
  • Perform other tasks related as delegated by direct manager or superior.

Education & Experience & Certifications:

  • Bachelor degree from accredited university in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Computer Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years relevant experience in networking, with expertise in at least two or three of the following areas: Routing & Switching, WiFi, DMS, Security, Structured Cabling and Collaboration.
  • CCNA/HCNA/CCNP/HCNP/CCIE certified or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing network systems.
  • Advance skills in IP backbone structure, including LAN/WAN, firewall and WIFI.

Project Engineer

The Project Engineer focuses on the implementation of a previously designed ELV system at the customer location, under the direction of the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager, based upon the contract. May have a supervisory role over Project Technicians, as dictated by the project and scope thereof.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic and detailed implementation of an ELV project at the customer’s location;
  • Provides technical submittals based upon client project requirements;
  • Involved in the installation, configuration and testing of all active equipment installed as part of the Project;
  • Supervises and tests the ELV Systems installed or maintained, including all Networking and Structured cabling network;
  • Provide support for maintained/existing clients and post-sales support as well;
  • Do the coordination/reporting with the client, consultant and internal team for the project deliverables;
  • Perform project documentation as guided by the Project requirements;
  • Perform other tasks related as delegated by direct manager or superior.

Education & Experience & Certifications:

  • Graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering or IT Engineering.
  • Have minimum 2 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in designing system based on client’s drawings and specification.li>
  • Experience in basic network implementation, installation, configuration and troubleshooting is a must.
  • Experience in basic structured cabling implementation is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt on new technology and system without any intervention on training/coaching is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Network, Firewall, WIFI, servers and OS is a plus.

AV Engineer

The AV Engineer provides professional solutions and value-added audiovisual systems to clients. Designs, installs, tests and maintains AV systems/projects. He/she coordinates with the Senior AV Engineer to plan for the activities of the technical team. He/she is also responsible for the technical training of the clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create professional, cost-effective solutions as per clients' audiovisual requirements
  • Manage client communications during the design process
  • Make client site visits as required for design requests
  • Manage technical meetings regarding potential projects
  • Using basic and detailed engineering methods, design complete audiovisual systems including cabling, equipment and technical systems along with testing as needed
  • Coordinate audiovisual projects, including public address systems, projection units and displays, video walls, control systems, telepresence, tele- and videoconferencing, VA/PA systems, SMATV, home automation and boardroom solutions
  • Manage communications with engineers and sales on solutions provided to and expectations set with clients, ensuring the protection of confidential information
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during installation and provide pre-sales technical information and post-sales support
  • Communicate with vendors and stay current with the latest audiovisual technologies
  • Support implementation team as required depending upon project scope
  • Assist team with the development of written procedures for operations and maintenance of systems

Education & Experience & Certifications:

  • BS Engineering or Electronics Engineering or related fields
  • Two to three year work experience within a similar position
  • Certificate in Infocom CTS and or other AV training/education certificates

ELV Engineer

Under supervision, engages in highly technical systems design with complete knowledge of all aspects of most every Physical Security System, involving a significant group of sub-systems under the physical security function. Analyzes client needs and provides detailed design and implementation plan for clients, based upon their needs and requirements. Provides support during pre-sales, Implementation and Post-Sales Support.

  • Under the supervision of the Sr. Physical Security Engineer or Technical Manager, performs detailed and cost-effective Project/Pre-Sales Engineering for all areas of ELV systems, specifically in the area of Physical Security Systems;
  • Designs, installs, configures and tests active components of Security System as directed;
  • Understands and follows industry standards related to Physical Security;
  • Recommend upgrades or system improvements on maintained system as required;

  • Certification in any Physical Security system, but preferably Video Security Certification by NICET or BICSI.
  • Implementation experience in basic networking and structured cabling implementation, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and experience in Network related issues is a plus.
